Every now and then we take on a problem that isn't ours. We pick it if it meets three tests:

Hours a month, money leaking, risk, cycle time. If you can measure it, we can target it.
It can't be fixed from inside.
Your vendor won't move it, the backlog buries it, the committee won't decide. The blocker is rarely technical.
It fits in weeks.
